Service Engineer – Mini Cranes

Location: Haddenham

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on Experience) + Overtime and On Call

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Service Engineer to join our team in Haddenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of mini cranes and lifting equipment. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, customer interaction, and on-site support.

Daily Duties include but not limited to:

  • Perform maintenance, service, and repair of mini cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Provide technical support in the event of plant failure.
  • Diagnose defects in plant and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records for health and safety and customer service purposes.
  • Conduct site visits to address plant and equipment defects.
  • Continuously uphold and enhance health and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Undertake any other relevant workshop duties as required.
     

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Previous engineering experience (electrical or mechanical).
  • Proficiency in reading electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Mechanical background, particularly with HGVs, Fork Lift Trucks, Plant Machinery, or Access Platforms, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Problem-solving ability with a resourceful approach.
